As a runner, Pilates instructor, and doula, I have a passion for helping people achieve their highest potential. Having coached numerous groups and individuals since 2005, I am well versed in endurance training, women’s health, injury rehab, and sports performance.
I love to run. I competed at the U.S. Olympic Trials for the marathon in 2012, 2016, & 2020. Additionally, I have had the honor of representing the United States on three national teams at ultra marathon world championships. I've had the pleasure of competing in Germany, France, Italy, Qatar, and Austria. One of my proudest moments was winning the 2016 U.S.A Track and Field Trail 50K Championships right here in the Bay Area.
Having worked as a certified Pilates instructor since 2007, I bring specialized knowledge of exercises, drills, and protocols designed for injury prevention and sports performance. I’ve worked with youth and adults rehabbing from a various injuries and I am highly knowledgable in the realm of ankle, knee, back, and hip problems. As a coach, I'm well versed in preparation for endurance events, from 5Ks to ultra marathons.
With a background as a doula and a pre/postnatal corrective exercise specialist, I am especially interested in women's health and performance issues, including pelvic floor issues, diastasis recti, prolapse, and the return to exercise and running after having a baby. Even the best performers start as a beginner, so I am interested in working with athletes, runners, and individuals of all levels and abilities.

I have a seriously positive attitude, and I love channeling that into my teaching. I began my fitness career as an instructor for spin and core strengthening before completing my Pilates and strength certification with The Town Athletics. I am also a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
I believe that the best fitness sessions are those that motivate and challenge you to do more than you previously thought you could, so I try to bring that spirit to my teaching. Whether you're new to the class or a seasoned pro, I do my best to encourage and coach you to get a great, pain-free workout. When left to my own devices, I also enjoy running, crochet, and cooking.

Special Populations (Rehabilitation, Disability)
I first discovered Pilates while pregnant with my first child and enjoyed its emphasis on mind-body connection, precision, and balance. I deepened my practice after stumbling upon a mat class with a loyal following. The tight-knit community our class and instructor created is what inspired me to become a Pilates teacher. I completed my comprehensive training with BASI Pilates and am an ACE certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor.
I have a master of public health from Cal (Go Bears!) and am also a board-certified health and wellness coach with almost two decades of experience in the biotech industry. I believe strongly in the power of lifestyle behaviors like Pilates to transform one’s health - including disease prevention, management and rehabilitation. Helping others achieve a healthier, happier life is my passion!
Outside the studio I'm a proud mother to two young children. My son has a rare syndrome with physical differences and I enjoy advocating for the disability community. This includes expanding access to organized physical activity among broad and diverse audiences. I'm excited to share my joy of movement with you and support you in your fitness goals!
