Marathon & Ultra Marathon Coaching
As a runner, Pilates instructor, and doula, I have a passion for helping people achieve their highest potential. Having coached numerous groups and individuals since 2005, I am well versed in endurance training, women’s health, injury rehab, and sports performance.
I love to run. I competed at the U.S. Olympic Trials for the marathon in 2012 and 2016. Additionally I have qualified for the next trials in 2020 and I have had the honor of representing the United States on three national teams at ultra marathon world championships. I've had the pleasure of competing in Germany, France, Italy, Qatar, and Austria. One of my proudest moments was winning the 2016 U.S.A Track and Field Trail 50K Championships right here in the Bay Area.
Having worked as a certified Pilates instructor since 2007, I bring specialized knowledge of exercises, drills, and protocols designed for injury prevention and sports performance. I’ve worked with youth and adults rehabbing from a various injuries and I am highly knowledgable in the realm of knee, back, and hip problems. As a coach, I'm well versed in preparation for endurance events, from 5Ks to ultra marathons.
With a background as a doula, I am especially interested in women's health and performance issues, including prenatal and postpartum fitness. Even the best performers start as a beginner, so I am interested in working with athletes, runners, and individuals of all levels and abilities.

I have a seriously positive attitude, and I love channeling that into my teaching. I started as an instructor for spin and core strengthening before completing my Pilates and strength certification with The Town Athletics. I believe that the best fitness classes are those that motivate and challenge you to do more than you previously thought you could, so I try to bring that spirit to my teaching. Whether you're new to the class or a seasoned pro, I do my best to encourage and coach you to get a great workout. When left to my own devices, I also enjoy running, kickboxing and cooking.

While my career path has been winding, I have always found myself coaching individuals on a path towards living their best life. Whether I was taking folks on adventures down a white water river, facilitating East Oakland youth on leadership development, or building brands for local small businesses, I find myself supporting people to push through the challenge, doubt, and fear and to prove they are stronger than they think.
I bring this same awareness to Pilates. What stories are keeping you from feeling strong and powerful? How can you show up to class, leave everything at the door and give yourself an hour dedicated to you? What is possible if you push yourself just a little bit further?
I have been practicing Pilates since 2012 and it has not only transformed my body and healed an abdominal injury I didn’t think was possible to heal, but my weekly practice provided an outlet for my mental health as well. After completing my Pilates and strength certification with The Town Athletics I am excited to work with people at all skill levels and can’t wait to see how designing a practice aligned with your needs and values can transform your life.
