Let us at The Town Athletics create a customized training plan specifically designed to help you achieve your personal training and/or race goals.

Now that you've taken the first step and signed up for a race, you may be wondering: Where do I go from here?

Your next move is to join us at the track either one-on-one or along with a group while we create a plan geared specifically toward you. 

Identify Your Goal(s)

Before we can create a plan, determine your goals. That is, what do you hope to achieve? Do you have a time target or a distance for an upcoming event? 

Goals can range from general — such as: improve overall health, stay injury free, or improve endurance — to highly-specific — for example, take three pilates classes per week, nail your first pull-up, run a 5K, or qualify for the Boston Marathon . Once you start thinking about what you would like achieve, you may find you have both general and highly-specific goals.

Creating a Plan

Once you've defined your goals, we're ready to help you achieve them. Since we can build plans specific to your needs and incorporate classes and/or coaching sessions as needed, you may want to consider:

  • Do I want to train with a small or large group?
  • Would I prefer personal coaching and specialized attention?
  • Would I benefit from form, core, or strength work? 
  • Am I likely to roll and stretch on my own?
